About Once Upon A Tune
The RSNO’s Once Upon A Tune is based upon the book of the same name by award-winning illustrator, author and presenter James Mayhew. Featuring popular tales from across the globe that inspired some of the greatest pieces of classical music, James brings these stories to life in a concert film featuring illustration and storytelling, accompanied by Scotland’s National Orchestra.
The film includes music from Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Snow Maiden and Flight of the Bumblebee, Debussy’s The Sunken Cathedral and Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
The duration of the film is 52 minutes.
