I am delighted to be able to tell you about the Royal Scottish National Orchestra’s exciting Schools Concerts for the 2009-2010 academic year. This is part one of a new schools programme being devised by the RSNO – look out for additional elements in the coming years!
We are pleased to present three carefully tailored concerts for different age groups in nursery, primary and secondary schools. They will be performed in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth.
We feel privileged to be able to give Scotland’s young people the opportunity to hear the unforgettable sounds of a symphony orchestra in dedicated concerts fronted by Paul Rissmann. Complete with multi-media slides, lighting and opportunities for participation, these concerts are the perfect introduction to the orchestra, and will be an inspiring experience for the young people in your school.
New this year we are introducing a Teacher Training Session connected to each event, specific to each age range and to the needs of teachers delivering the work. They have been designed to enhance the concert experience and will include a series of creative projects to complete in school before and after the event. They also fit with elements of the new Curriculum for Excellence.
I look forward to welcoming you to the RSNO Schools Concerts!

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities. Or why not change to an alternative browser like Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome or Opera?
Why should I upgrade my browser? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer, with better security, new capabilities, and a new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users.
The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 claims to make surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
