About Community Orchestra: All Together Now
What is it?
The Orchestra meets on Sunday afternoons throughout the RSNO Season and works towards performing a pre-concert piece on stage as part of an RSNO concert, and a showcase for families and friends at the end of the year.
Rehearsals are held at the RSNO Centre and The Boardwalk and will be a mixture of tutti (everyone working together) and sectionals (working with just your instrument).
You will receive coaching from conductor Robert Baxter and RSNO musicians, to help you prepare your parts. The Orchestra plays a variety of different repertoire from new commissions to familiar favourites! Where possible, each piece will have a variety of levels to choose from to ensure that there is a part for everyone, from beginner to Grade 4 and beyond!
Throughout the year, there will be workshops and social events including an end of year celebration. Orchestra members will also be offered discounted tickets to attend select RSNO performances.

Please note that there are a set number of places available within the Community Orchestra and priority will be given to applications to ensure a full and balanced orchestra. If the number of applications exceeds this, musicians will be placed on a waiting list. Places will be reviewed throughout the year and if availability opens up across any section, applicants on the waiting list for those instruments will be notified.
We operate a pay-what-you-can model. If you would like to support the project, we suggest a £5 donation that can be paid on arrival by cash or card.
