RSNO and Linn Records release brand new music in partnership with Adam Mickiewicz Institute Posted Thu 3 April 2025

Recorded in Scotland’s Studio by the RSNO and Thomas Søndergård the album, released on Friday 28 March 2025 by Linn Records, is a celebration of the music of three preeminent Polish composers of the 20th century – Grażyna Bacewicz, Witold Lutosławski and Karol Szymanowski. All three composers contributed to the reshaping of Polish musical identity during a time of political turmoil. The RSNO and IAM are delighted to be able to shine a spotlight on their music and voices in the 21st century.
The partnership between the RSNO and the IAM has so far produced a series, Polska Scotland, in the 2020:21 Season and performances of music by Szymanowski (February 2024), Bacewicz and Lutosławski (June 2024) under the baton of Music Director Thomas Søndergård. This partnership celebrates the rich cultural history between Poland and Scotland and reinforces the importance of global musical collaboration and mutual enrichment.
